Each year the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Berlin’s central agency for all matters relating to film and media production in Germany’s capital region, holds the Nachwuchstag, a day full of panels, keynotes and presentations directed at young and emerging film producers and film makers. This year’s topic is “film producing in the digital age” with most of the day revolving around the question:
Stereoscopic 3D – How to tell stories within the depth of the screen?
WATER SOUL producers Esther Friedrich and Alex Weimer have been invited to speak about how we tackled this task on WATER SOUL. They will present a short 3D showreel of work-in-progress from WATER SOUL.
The Nachwuchstag will be held on December 1, 2010 at the Film and Television University (HFF) “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
Head on over to medienboard.de to learn more about the Nachwuchstag and how to attend (German only).

After a few struggles with Mental Ray, I ‘ve decided to give V-ray a try. No doubt that Mental Ray is a great renderer, but V-ray looks very promising too. Furthermore the learning curve of V-ray is surprisingly short.

I finally received the RenderBOXX! I am planning to give a full review of the BOXX since there is not a lot going on out there. Perhaps I am gonna make a video-review, since there is something I wanna show you!
But I am still on the japanese translation, so that our japanese reader can follow us too.
Keep you posted!
